Once, an inn was a place where travellers could enjoy a good meal and rest for the night. We keep that tradition alive with thoughtfully prepared food, homemade sauces, and desserts made from scratch, using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

About the house

Built in 1874 as a railway hotel - the old railbed is now a cycle path.

In Ryd, on the edge of the Åsnen lakeland, stands the house from 1874. We've restored it gently - much of it with second-hand finds - and kept what makes the rooms their own: the tiled stoves, the wallpaper, the wood.

Filippa and Ole welcome you. It's a small place, and it shows - there's time to talk with you about where you're headed tomorrow.

Thirty seats inside, more in the garden when summer allows. À la carte by reservation - bistro menu all day, no booking needed.
